Field Day moved to the Spring
Christie Families,
After much deliberation we have decided to postpone Field
Day until late spring. With the forecast of heavy rain this afternoon, as well
as a high ranging between 54-57 degrees during the morning Field Day events; we
don’t feel it would be a safe environment for our students. As many of you
know, Field Day often includes water games as well as other fun activities that
would not be able to take place with tomorrow’s weather. We want to thank you
for understanding, and we look forward to having this event later on this year!

Field Day Oct. 30th postponed till Nov. 6th
All,
Due to the forecast calling for heavy rain tomorrow, field
day will be postponed until next Friday. Unfortunately, at this time, it looks
like it may rain next week as well. If it rains heavily starting on Wednesday
of next week, we will once again postpone field day until May. We want to thank
you all so much for your understanding – fingers crossed we have a sunny week
next week!

Christie PE has been going great! Kindergarten, First, and Second grade have been playing noodle games and working on their fitness running level. Third, Fourth and Fifth grade have been using the camping equipment. This includes team building activities like: buddy walkers, canoes, and team walking planks. They have also really enjoyed using the archery sets, and fishing poles. The fifth grade camping trip will be here soon, and our students now have a good grasp on these fun activities.
Our field day is fast approaching and will be here on October 30th. Miss Sorenston will be organizing our volunteers for this special day. We can use anyone and everyone who is available to come help out.

New begining
Hello Christie Family,
The physical education department is starting a new blog to keep everyone informed on what is going on in our PE classes and in Fitness. We will be sharing what types of activities we will be experiencing down in the gym, and out on the fields. We will be voicing our expectations and goals that are being set for our cubs. We hope that this will give a clear picture to what types of physical activities can be done at home. All 4 of our coaches will have input on this blog, and if you have any questions please contact us.
